Brian Johnston is a retired professional MMA fighter best remembered for his losses to Don Frye, Mark Coleman, and Ken Shamrock in the early years of the UFC.  With experience in Judo and kickboxing, Johnston was considered to be a well rounded fighter in the blossoming sport of mixed martial arts.  Johnston, the first UFC fighter to train at American Kickboxing Academy, retired in 1997 with a record of 5-5.  He went on to a professional wrestling career in Japan that ended in 2001 due to a series of concussions.
