It's a pity for fighters like Ruiz that there is no Atomweight division in the UFC. She has always been undersized in her matchups. Though Moura looked two weightclasses bigger tonight. It was so apparent.

She has Tools, but literally she beat a barely atomweight fighter after missing the weight class limit (116 pounds in no title fight) by more than 3 pounds. Is too soon to call her a menace for the division.

@Noxx They almost have enought fighters already for an atomweight division. I get that there isn't as much casual appeal, but it would be good for fighters like her!

The thing is I doubt Ruiz was given a choice, the UFC are unlikely to be understanding if she turned down a fight where 2 other fights were cancelled because of weight misses, if she had not taken the fight they would have cut her anyway. Now at least they could give her another fight as a favour for not cancelling the fight

And She still manages to beat Vlismas with the headlock. Despite the Matchmakers pushing for her, Vlismas was exposed in her first UFC Fight and her grappling is still awful.

@amett not really. It’s pretty clear on tape this girl is a very high level grappler. The only questions are her cardio and striking. She could easily reach top 15 of the divison on grappling alone

Next fight is really interesting, if Hill wrestles as I think she will she will likely win, if it's a stand up battle it will be close. I think Hill is likely to win, her striking is better and her wrestling is better, but her power is not as high and she is likely to get robbed in another split here
